Bitti inaugura la rassegna Autunno in Barbagia dal 2 al 4 settembre 2016
Numerosi sentieri si snodano lungo il territorio di Bitti alla scoperta di oasi naturali, ricoperte da rigogliose foreste, scenari incantevoli tra picchi granitici e meravigliosi scorci acquatici formati da cascate e laghetti. Luogo ospitale e pieno di storia in cui la grande civiltà nuragica innalzò i meravigliosi monumenti del villaggio-santuario di Romanzesu, uno dei maggiori centri archeologici dell’intera Isola, e dove si stabilirono gli antichi Balari che sfidarono il potente Impero Romano. Il centro barbaricino è famoso in tutta l’Isola per la maestria dei cori che tramandano l’arte dell’antico canto a tenore proclamato dall’UNESCO “Patrimonio intangibile dell’Umanità”. Il comune ha dedicato a questa celebre tradizione musicale un museo multimediale in cui sarà possibile ascoltare le composizioni più conosciute e acclamate provenienti da varie aree dell’Isola. Nel paese si trovano tante botteghe artigiane di ceramica, ferro battuto, cuoio, legno, intarsio e tessitura che propongono sia lavorazioni classiche che moderne interpretazioni della tradizione.

The territory of Bitti winds along several paths to discover natural oasis covered with luxuriant forests, fascinating landscapes between granite peaks and wonderful water views made of waterfalls and small lakes. A warm place full of history where the great Nuragic civilization raised the amazing monuments of the village-sanctuary of Romanzesu, one of the main archaeological centres of the entire island, and where the ancient Balari settled down, the tribe that faced the powerful Roman Empire. This centre of Barbagia is known all around the island for the mastery of its choral groups that hand down the art of the ancient a tenore singing which has been recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO. The municipality opened a multimedia museum dedicated to this popular music tradition, where you can listen to the most known and appreciated compositions from different areas of the island. In the village you may find several small shops offering classical productions as well as and modern interpretations of ceramics, wrought iron, leather, wood, inlay and weaving.
